My mother has recently passed and my sister (the youngest of four) has been dealing with things unfortunately. I have been allowed no say in things at all. This is not Francis Chappell fault, I get that. However, on calling them and speaking with Pat at the Eltham branch as no one one in the Woolwich branch, I was promised a call back. That call NEVER came. The next day I called the Woolwich branch again. A manager, Elaine answered. After speaking with her she promised me a call back later that day, even giving me her private mobile number. The call back was after me complaining about Pat not calling me back.She also advised me to try and get things stopped due to what was happening. She called in the afternoon saying my sister had said that I can choose a song and look at photos they had chosen... Wow, yipee, not! I have heard no more from her even though she promised she would come back to me regarding my complaint. If she is a manager, god help the rest! Very poor service from this company. I will be letting everyone know, and advising them, never to use this company.

Following the death of a dear friend who's funeral plan was in place with "Dignity" the misfortune of having to deal with Francis Chapel Woolwich started, "Jackie" is the only reason this shocking company have a review with 3 stars her role has been carried out but nothing from the director, nothing no call no effort no mindfulness no compassion no consideration and no effort, no respect. even the chosen coffin not available unless we pay more, flowers vastly over priced and all blamed on covid 19 ... our dear friend did not die of covid-19 and each of us have been tested and clear of covid -19 have any of the staff within Francis Chapel ? where is my friend ? still in the hospital fridge .... missed phone calls missed collections oddly the Funeral Director still does not call. when asked why we are told he will call the day before the funeral ! Sadly Francis Chapel & Son your business is not as it should be what happened to respect, consideration, sense of duty and pride in both work and company ? Never again will anyone we know use your shockingly bad service, this whole experience has been compounded by the lack of respect from the Funeral Director. He has failed the company He has failed our Friend He has failed in every area regarding our wishes, Jackie has done the best she can and goodness me her hands are clearly tied by company policy and profit margins. shameful utterly shameful service its all about the money and not the friends and family. Never has a company dropped to such lows they fail to show any respect from the top.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those at Francis Chappell in Woolwich. At such an emotional time losing my husband Kenny, they were so compassionate and professional they truly made such a sad occasion easier to bear.
