The Victorian Barn, Self-Catering Holidays with Pool and Hot Tubs, Dorset

We spent our summer holiday at Jasmine cottage in the Victorian barn, the accommodation was beautiful, it was spacious and clean and very comfortable with everything one needs. The kids enjoyed all the activities in the games room and all the extras that one can do on the beautiful grounds such as the playground, the beautiful lakes and the cows etc. The swimming pool and the hot tub was amazing too, it will definitely be a holiday that we will all remember! Penny (the owner) was extremely helpful, anything you needed or asked she was there to help, she's the kindest nicest person around we will surely be returning in the future.

Just spent the most lovely but too short holiday In plumtree cottage. Superbly clean well appointed accommodation. The whole setting is serene and peacefull, the perfect place to unwind from hectic city lives!!! The hot tub and pool were perfect and the children were well entertained with the 2 games rooms and lovely playground. Penny is lovely , friendly, and so accommodating and any request or query was answered straight away. We will definitely be returning!!! Thanks!!!

We stayed here for 3 days. The house was clean and spacious, Parking available on site. It has a shared swimming pool and sauna on site aswell as a games room. We attempted to upgrade the property as we wanted a bit more space (we were happy to pay the difference). Penny and Claire were very polite and professional, I cannot say the same for the the guy. Saying he was rude and obnoxious is an understatement. The guy insolently told us we couldn't even though there was only one other booked whilst our stay. The bare minimum a person expects is sensible manners. We had difficulty using the sauna and pool. The first and only time we used the sauna it was not working and pool temperature was way below the stated 30 degrees. A staff member came a fixed the sauna. I was asked to call to remedy the pool temperature as that wasn't resolved, when i made the call I was scolded like a victorian school child who was about to get beaten with a cane. I just got off the phone and we decided not to entertain a conversation as we did not want trouble. The sauna wasn't working for the rest of the duration of our visit.
