Waited for our food for over 1hr, with our 1 year old son, no updates, no apologies, so we left. Service can be 50/50, I suggest going on a day that isn't busy.

A great pub. I love this place. Great food, great bar, great location, great architecture, traditional pub.

Went for a Sunday Roast and found it far too busy/noisy and the meal itself was also a disappointment. The slow roasted pork belly was 90% fat (I expect more fat than usual on belly but this was not the making of a satisfying joint of pork) and had very little flavour. The roast potatoes were clearly overdone and filled with cooking oil that burst out of the desiccated interior, the table adjacent to us complained of the same issue. Veg was virtually non existent and made up mostly of tasteless baby food pure! On top of this it was vastly overpriced compared to what the nearby competitors provide and everything youd expect to be included seemed to be an extra with yet more additional cost. Overall it reminded me of a noisy school canteen, and food to match, with maybe better scenery. The carpark was also a disaster, imagine navigating the vast water filled craters in a new car and having to step out into inches of water! Wont be returning anytime soon.
