Amazing! James and penny were so welcoming throughout our stay. The cottage was perfect, lovely lay out with everything we needed for our stay. Beds were so comfortable just about managed to get out in the morning. Living room, kitchen and bathroom facilities were spot on. Perfect to be able to walk the dog around the farm. Very dog friendly lovely jar of dog biscuits were a sweet touch. Close to amenities. Definitely recommend and would go back again. No phone signal onsite, however it also meant you weren't disturbed. . Thank you so much for such a relaxing break away.

Had the experience of staying here, rented the smaller one bedroom apartment/unit at the end of March. The hosts had prepared the apartment, fresh milk, logs & peat for the wood burner, the place was reasonably clean, equipped with washing machine, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, toaster, oven, however the oven had lost the temperature numbers around the dial. The TV was dated but worked, a smaller TV was in the bedroom also. The wood burner worked very well almost too hot in such a small space. The internet/Wi-Fi was very slow around 3mb, very limited use. Ford mill farm is a non working farm. However a dairy farm opposite is fully operational, which we found to be noisy, non stop vocal cows, continuous farm vehicles, with the main milking operation directly opposite across the narrow lane. This farm also was home to 5 dogs running freely about, which turned out to be a bit of an issue for us as we had a female cocker spaniel, the five farm dogs, 3 being Australian sheepdogs bit like wild dingoes, would run over and bark at our spaniel which was very intimidating. Sometimes the farmer was not around to control them. Other than this the area is quiet, and reasonably isolated. The weather in the March was very wet but that was to be expected.

We loved Ford Mill Farm. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage - which was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We received a very warm welcome from Penny and James - who were perfect hosts. Both made us feel extremely welcome and that they appreciated us staying there. We could not fault anything - The farm is located remotely - so perfect for people wanting complete peace and quiet. It is in close driving distance from Biddeford, Bude, Ilfracombe and Clovelly - so perfectly positioned. We are so glad to have chosen Ford Mill Farm - you couldnt ask for nicer hosts than James & Penny.
