Rooms: We had the self catering room which is open plan with quite low ceilings. The cottage feel was quite nice, but a bit more attention to detail would have made things so much better. I could put a few details in here, but wont. My suggestion to the owner would be stop in this room for a couple of nights, see if you can figure out where you could improve things.

Food & drinks: Accommodated to coeliac (gluten free) for breakfast. Knowledgeable on the disease and easily reassured me about cross contamination. They just required pre warning of my requirements Noteworthy details: Could accommodate earlier check in. If arriving back late, keys are provided for side door access. Quite peaceful propery.

Service is very friendly, explained all the entrances and how to enter/leave. If you're looking for a quaint, countryside Inn then look no further. The rooms are rustic yet have modern conveniences. The breakfast is excellent - 5 choices is all you need. In the daytime it's a tea room, and when I collected the key it was abuzz with a retirement party (the whole event looked great). There was no noise or disturbances when we came back to sleep. We will return in the future!

I was treated to the most delicious afternoon tea I have ever experienced. Sweet or savoury scones, sandwiches, cakes galore. And as much tea and coffee as we could drink. Far more than 2 people could eat. Exquisitely presented. We went home with a cake box full of the items we couldn't eat. The service was warm and friendly. Highly recommended. Safety: There are steps with handrail upp to the tearoom.
