Martin Hiles, Funeral Celebrant, Dorset

I can certainly recommend Martin. He had a magical way of ensuring that everyone felt at ease in the process leading up to and at the memorial service for my late father. My mother and I decided to arrange the service ourselves, but we couldn't do it alone. We held it at the Bridge House Hotel's, riverside function room in Ferndown and Martin took the pressure off my mother and I, so that we could grieve and make the arrangements for the family and friends. Following the passing of my father, Martin was able to support the family as we said our goodbyes, and even with over 100 people unable to enter the Chapel (restrictions) but lining the route as he arrived, Martin was able to provide that calm, professional but caring and appropriate memory that made the whole experience of the day that much easier. On behalf of the whole of the Hutley family, thank you for the support and guidance you gave us all that difficult day.

Hopefully funerals are a rare experience in our lifetimes, but when they happen nothing can prepare you for the experience. We were blessed to have the assistance of Martin Hiles just last week to help us through the process of celebrating our late fathers life. This was difficult to do with the current COVID restrictions but through zoom we had the most helpful 2 hour preparation meeting and his assistance even helped me put together my own words - something I was struggling with. Martin listens and takes what you tell him to build an incredible picture of a person he never met. In addition to the words Martin was also excellent on the day at coordinating the ceremony, we literally turned up and were then guided through the whole experience so we just had to focus on our own words - nothing else. I cannot recommend Martin highly enough.

I recently had the unfortunate task of arranging my father in laws funeral. I am so very thankful that I made the correct choice of celebrant for the service. Martin has been so helpful throughout the entire process. The guidance and compassion Martin gave the entire family was exceptional. Even during these tough times through lockdown Martin was always available via the phone or zoom meetings. Martin was the celebrant for my mother's funeral at Harbour View Crematorium recently. As a family, we were so impressed with Martin and with the way in which he not only spoke with us following my mother's death but with the time and trouble he took to really understand her life and her as a person. Nothing was too much trouble for him and we all appreciated his support throughout the preparation for the service. The feedback we received regarding Martin from family and friends attending the service was very positive and we would not hesitate to recommend him to others. Thank you again Martin.
