Lights are out in:- St Julian Road (south section) Swinton Avenue Gaza Road New Road Gouzeaucourt Road Probably more I am staying with my daughter for a few days as she has had minor but debilitating surgery, this evening I had to go to the local store for food products but on my way because of street lighting being out and the area was 'pitch black' I stumbled down the kerb causing injury to my ankle and foot. Talking to the shop staff on arriving at the store I was informed the lights have been out for months and dispite numerous reports nothing has been done. On arriving back at my daughter's I contacted the street lighting emergency number to be informed that they have not been given a contract for these roads, they don't know who is responsible and don't have any contacts that I could ring. I also informed the Highways emergency number and similar response but advised it would be reported to the manager. Fortunately I have just received a call from a company asking if I have had an accident recently, I have given basic details and will apparently be getting a call back in the next few days.
