Majestic Wine

Had a great time at Majestic Finchley, which sells more than just wine but unique spirits as well. Tom was especially helpful and knowledgeable, treating us to a tasting tour and providing us with a whistle-stop tour of the wine regions in stock. Thank you very much- it was a fun way to spend an hour of my birthday!

Nice selection of wines, but no one offered help with choosing the right one. Had to ask a few times for someone to come. Prices were fine.

I went to purchase two bottles and initially was ignored. When the young man started serving me he seemed a little clueless about what drink was what. I asked if they sold gift bags to put the bottles in I was offered some rustic branded hessian bag and that they wanted to sell to me. I then said that did not work as a gift bag, I was offered a box, so I accepted thinking it'll be a nice box when they went to pick up a used box from the pile they keep behind the counter. Seriously!? You want to give your customers your trash to throw away for you? You may have a great selection of drinks here but need to brush up on customer skills and present yourself professionally. This is when first impressions count, good thing I did not spend a lot of money with you, and definitely won't be back.
