We started working with Martin and Caroline on a brief to redevelop our downstairs space. We had a very clear budget at the beginning of the process, however after proceeding through the first stage of concepts (having spent over 2k) the concepts they presented didnt a) meet our brief or b) have a projected cost within our budget. We felt let down by Martins response to our concerns and abandoned the project at that stage. We felt Syndicate West could have been more open about what was achievable within our budget earlier in the process so we had a choice to proceed before spending the money we did. We feel let down by the entire process and just shattered to have effectively thrown that money away. I hope in sharing our experience, others can avoid the same fate.

We felt they behaved in a shockingly unprofessional manner. We felt bullied and gas lit, which was not exactly the client-centric approach they sold us on. Working with them became intensely stressful and we deeply regret hiring them. We dont particularly want to leave a review like this, but we feel duty bound so that others can take this into account when making a decision. We also know from talking to others who have dealt with them, that its not just us.

Martin and Caroline are brilliantly creative and passionate about what they do. Their commitment and attention to detail has transformed our home into a beautiful space which we'll enjoy for years to come.
