Smiths Fruit Store

So far, I've ordered twice from Smiths. On both occasions they have not delivered on the day promised. I'm very much for supporting local shopkeepers and a big supporter of keeping it 'local'. But when you order a substantial amount and it doesn't turn up, and you have to ring the next day to chase it up, it's a very poor show. What if someone had had to wait in all day pending the delivery that didn't come? It's unacceptable. There may be valid reasons for it, but they do have my phone number. Very disappointed. On the plus side the products are of excellent quality and I can't fault that. But if it's not delivered, that's irrelevant.

Good quality fruit and veg. Duck eggs. Less plastic if you can organise your own way of handling the groceries. Prices are moderate. Good quality to price ratio.
