Rushed our dog for an emergency out of hours appointment (Saturday morning) a few weeks ago, but unfortunately she'd already passed away on the journey. Upon arriving I was obviously in pieces and all over the place (I'm a 32 year old bloke - so not great at crying, especially in public) - they took Lola from me and that was it, I didn't see her again - didn't really get to say much of a goodbye. I also didn't think to ask for her collar, but again, I was all over the place so wasn't thinking straight. She was also wrapped in a large bath towel with one of my woolly hats which had all been bundled together in a rush to get out of the house. I wasn't charged for the appointment (which would've been 350 or something) but I left a 50 'donation' for their troubles. I called on the Monday morning and asked to make sure they keep her collar safe - apparently they usually do this as standard practice, but couldn't find it. The lady said to leave it with her and she'd call back. No call back... I called the next day and to cut a long story short they hadn't saved it, she'd already been sent to be cremated (nearly 400 for the trouble) and due to "health and safety" couldn't remove it from her at this point. No sign of the hat or towel either. No apology other than being called twice asking when we'd be picking her ashes up. If anyone from the practice is reading this I'd ideally like a call back and the 50 returning, because the more I think about it the more it winds me up! With the industry you are in, you should know better really.

If I could give this vets 0 stars then I would. My friends dog got taken in Saturday night due to him not eat/drinking and not walking around. They charged 350 for some tablets and morphine as they thought it was his pancreas. He then had to go again yesterday due to him returning to the same symptoms. It was then said it was his spine? My friend was then charged a further 700 to keep him in over night, get bloods done and fluids. Then she had a phone call later that night that it was then a further 400 for fluids?? Even though thats what the 700 was for. This vets is an absolute joke! Its like they make the prices up as they go along and charge what they want. They didnt even help my poor friends dog and just deprived him of the care he needed when they already paid so much. They then said the spine problems would come and go so he would end up like the state he was in before. Oh! BUT.. for an extra 250 they can do an unltrasound. This vets only cares about the money and not the animals. They should be bloody ashamed of themselves as they are an absolute joke. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VETS!!!!!
