Absolutely abysmal service. Walked in and ordered a fish box. The young lad serving was helpful but obviously inexperienced and started my order. He put the chips in the box and then proceeded to nearly give me only 1/2 of the fish The young lady frying proceeded to tell him that the fish had broken in half and the portion was the 2 pieces.i then asked if the meal came with sauce or peas (which it did). The peas in the pan were obviously iffy , so the young lady frying advised the young lad to make some up with water and put them in the microwave for 3 mins. The shop was now full and the young lady frying asked if people were wanting fish , fish cakes or sausages - the reply was No from the majority. One woman customer wanted fish and was told 10mins as they hadn't got anything ready (fish shop with no fish ready at 19.30pm on a Saturday night ). Nothing was ready and one customer left due to waiting ages. Anyhow , I continued to wait with another few customers being served. Fast forward 10mins + and I asked the young lady frying (with tattoos) what had happened to my peas as I had now been forgotten about and 10 mins on - still no peas (how bloody long to microwave peas and serve a customer for god sake). When they did finally serve me , the mushy peas were water peas not thick and mushy as they should be (see photo). Seems to me they were all young and in Saturday night party mode as the music was blaring away out of the TV on the wall , blasting out rap music that was using racist language for all the customers to hear - not what customer service should be. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE........unless you liking waiting an hour or so for your food .......basic food that a chip shop should have ready on an early Saturday night. If the lack of food ready and the service doesn't scare you away then the loud racist music on the TV should. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A PROPER CHIP SHOP. UPDATE - got home went to serve the peas (see photo) they were watery , cold and hard (not cooked). The owner needs to take charge here or you won't have a business left if you keep customers waiting who then leave disgusted , also serve iffy food and put that racist music video station on the tv.
