Excellent service from Sharn, when I went in for a broken tooth that turned out to be a false alarm. Thank you for your kindness and courtesy.

A family member used to come here, but after a host of bad experiences that left them in tears (they're Autistic with mental health issues and the surgery knows this) we had to find another dentist. Unless you can pay for treatment you will be treated very different to someone who is, like our family member, on the NHS and doesn't have to pay. The discrimination and attitude is clear between the two... No understanding or empathy. Only one dentist they saw was nice enough to be calm and answer any questions. Shame he couldn't have dealt with my family member, as she was at ease with him. It was more the female dentists that were an issue... So because of that they were left in discomfort, ignored and not told how to do things i.e how to look after their immediate partial denture or have it replaced at the time the dentist stated to (who then proceeded to dismiss the questions my family member had) come out in for and not even do the prep for... No guidance either. This is where Google had to come in to help! Seriously, Google. We understand things are tough after COVID, but to treat patients with disdain and apathy making them feel useless, a burden and depressed isn't professional. If you don't know how to deal with patients like my family member, then hire people who do. If you're on the NHS free treatment, have mental health issues and Autistic, avoid. Unless it's a final choice.

As someone who is very anxious, I was greeted with patience and kindness straight away. They had a puppy in reception who is hopefully going to be used as a therapy dog (greatest thing ever). The dental surgeon was great with me. She spoke to me and calmed me down before checking my teeth and talked me through the whole process, even asking what music Id like on to relax me. Considering this was my first appointment and experience here, I was very pleased.

Had a absolute nightmare with tgis place over the past few weeks, had a Denplan with these guys, had to cancel 4 appointments last year due to covid and a death in the family, then got told would be charged 40 for 4 missed appointments even though they were rearranged, nothing stated this policy when i joined with them so took it on the chin ans and thought ok i will find another dentist. I proceeded to cancel my Denplan no issues, i then had another payment taken in January, so i contacted Denplan said plan had been cancelled payment should not of been taken but as they send it to the dentist they will need to refund the payment, i know contact this practice and i am told manager will contact me, wait 4 working days no contact, so i call back to chase during my lunch to be told the dentist is very busy and will contact the next day, no contact again so chase with them and leave a voice message, i am then left with a voice message later that day stating they have sent a email to Denplan requesting a refund and it should be back in my account in a couple of weeks?? This after repeatedly telling them its them that need to refund not Denplan, have called back straight away and left a message for someone to call me back to discuss the issue, here i am 4 days later still waiting for any kind of response, no issue when i was receiving treatment but customer service is terrible from these guys, i will give them another couple of days days but if no response i will now have to go there myself to sort out something which could easily be resolved with a phone call and basic customer service, something these guys are definitely incapable of doing by my experience.
