Only given 1 star because Google reviews seem to need it.
I bought a single flight experience for a gift back in January. The company was then very difficult to get hold of to actually book the lesson. When we eventually got a booking it was cancelled due to 'bad weather'. Incensed by this we went to the airport and met a pilot who was getting ready to go out on a lesson on the 1 available aircraft. The weather was perfect (see photo), other helicoptors and planes were flying that day. Since then we made repeated email and phone contacts and got nothing back. I had to get my money back from the credit card company eventually.

Turned up to confront them and spoke to a few people there and found out he has done this to quite a lot of people including people booking pleasure flights, he has even failed to pay his instructors, so now you have to pay the instructors directly, this way, at least they get paid..... but most have now left him. I have met and spoken to both ex-students and instructors who recount the same story about him and his club.
Most people conned by this man have quietly slipped away but I would urge everyone who has been conned by this petty crook to speak up, or at least post a negative review and stop others being conned by this man and his club (no doubt they will rush round family and friends to get positive reviews now!). All the other flight training schools at Halfpenny Green are respectable and decent, but this outfit reflects badly on the others. I am disappointed that Halfpenny Green allows this outfit to operate on the airfield, it looks bad that they see and hear this happening and turn a blind eye..............
When I did finally get to speak to him, he promised to return my money but after the call ended, he wouldn't reply to emails asking when will my money be refunded and won't pick up the phone or return calls. John Royce is a liar and thief! Stay well away from him and Flightpath, if you must fly with them, don't part with any money until you have had your lesson or pleasure flight, or you will be disappointed.
