When people complain about external recruitment companies, agencies like Alto Technologies definitely contribute to reinforcing such a poor reputation. I was in touch with them and they connected me with several internal recruiters who did not care at all about me as none even bothered to follow up with me. I was under the impression that they just wanted to put me in a list of candidates to present to their clients even though I might have bot been the right fit. I felt like I was used as mere cannon fodder. Other than being unethical, such an approach is selfharming as not only they might end up writing bad reviews such as this, but this will also alienate candidates who might be a suitable fit for a job in the future. How likely do you think I am to speak again with them if they end up recruiting for a job where I might be a suitable fit and hence earning money for them? Definitely not a smart attitude, especially because following up isn'ta time consuming exercise. Just stay away from them.
