Kitchen and bathroom worktops look nice but process has been poor. For example very inconsistent messaging e.g. about how much space you need to leave between range that required rework of our kitchen and the examples on website don't match what they would fit for a customer. Have delayed the backsplash around our kitchen another 3 weeks to 6 weeks delay so far and counting. Didn't tell us of further delays only on calling them up when we have other work pending this and can't have a working kitchen until their delays are resolved. Some damage to tiles when installing as which which tried to cover up with white putty. Not what you expect when you spend 5-6K with them.

I don't often leave reviews but wanted to share my experience with Gemini. The initial correspondance was fantastic, communication was clear and prompt, booking in the templating was easy and the templating itself was quick and efficient. Unfortunately there were a few disappoints following this however. Firstly, when it came to progressing the order, Gemini didn't have the material I'd originally selected and this was facing several weeks delay, so I selected another similar material that I also liked. This was slightly more expensive but Gemini were kind enough to negotiate on the price given the availability of my preferred material. Then secondly, after this ~1 week delay agreeing new materials, I was then told I couldn't pay via Klarna (2 years interest free), despite this being offered on my final quotation, because they no longer offered this as a payment option. Something to do with customers wanting longer (5-7 payment terms). So, now they offer nothing? I then had to apply for a credit card and hope I could get the finance, which then took another 1-2 weeks to sort and arrive. Gemini would not progress the order until the outstanding balance had been paid in full, which is reasonable, but by the time this was done and the worktops were then manufactured and installed it was a month from the date the templating was completed, where I had originally been told 7-10 days! The installation of the worktops was a little disappointing as well. Packers had been left hanging out preventing doors/drawers from closing properly, the underside of our breakfast was supposed to be highly polished but wasn't and was all scuffed up, and the installers had left the silicone in a real mess. And on matt black units, this is very obvious and was a nightmare to clean off! That said, overall it was not a totally bad experience and the worktops themselves are gorgeous, and the price was reasonable excluding the fitting given the lack of care and attention demonstrated. I would be recommend them to friends and family, but would advise them to consider their payment options externally, and perhaps consider employing their own installers.

A whirlwind of an experience! After paying our deposit with Gemini, we have had a multitude of issues, to name a few: worktop we initially chose being discontinued (no contact about this either until when our worktop was due to be fitted!), worktop arriving cut wrongly and having to be remade which delayed our kitchen fitter completing the kitchen, lack of communication, the sink we were purchasing through them also being discontinued, being mis sold installation and templating charges by a now ex sales employee. One thing after another which is a real shame but it really doesn't help that people never call you back! I chased every day, day after day multiple times! They always take messages and state someone will call you back. People are always 'in meetings'. We only experienced one competent and pleasant staff member and that was Andy in planning. Showroom is fantastic but very deceptive as you don't expect these kind of issues after visiting! To top it all off we should have recieved compensation for our delays and issues but the company went into administration after we paid the worktop off in full and we have only just been informed of this. A hell of a lot of money paid to Gemini AND then it cost us extra in delays and having to cancel on our fitters twice. Wouldn't recommend unless the new company owners sort out staff training and customer service. Really wishing we went to a different company after the worktop was discontinued and paid the little bit extra as its ended up costing us more staying with Gemini.
