Booked through the Pitchup website weeks in advance for the 22nd April. Got an email the week before saying our final payment was being taken. Got the car packed up and set off with the kids ready to arrive at 1pm. Recieved a phone call from the site whilst on my way at 12.30 saying they were checking that I knew the site was closed and my booking was cancelled! They said that they sent an email (which I never got). They said it must have gone to my spam folder but I checked and one hadn't been sent. They are providing a refund but this was way too short notice. Luckily found another campsite last minute or our trip would have been ruined. Very poor service. Tip to site, call people in future in advance if you intend to cancel bookings.
