My child was in the elite squad at Pinewood, the head coach took time off before a major competition to hinder my child's performance. She was verbally abusive and tried to intimidate my child. She asked me if I knew anything about gymnastics so she could pull the wool over my eyes. Even though I didn't know much about gymnastics I could see right through her, I felt she did not promote equal opportunity to all her elite gymnasts. The coach should be ashamed of herself for going against our British Values: A mutual respect for those with different faiths and backgrounds. Ultimately working against The Prevent Duty, which she needs training for in my opinion! In a meeting I asked her some difficult questions, which she could not answer, then asked me to leave. My child bumped into her at a competition where she felt she had to intimidate my child further to try and make my child nervous even though we left the club. I definitely agree with a previous review that there is some racial issues in gymnastics that needs addressing.
