My husband bought a large pack of British Southern Fried Chicken pieces on Sat 29th Apr, with a due date of 8th May. Last night (2nd May) I cooked them for dinner for the required time and temperature, and once served, lots of BLOOD started bubbling and oozing out from all 5 pieces onto the plates! Let me be clear, this is NOT pink myoglobin that sometimes appears when cooking chicken! I looked this up online and the cause can be either-unfresh meat or butchered meat not allowed to bleed out sufficiently before their preparation process. Either way, this is unacceptable. We had to also chuck out the veg on the plates and order a takeaway instead, so doubly out of pocket. We will never buy chicken from Morrisons again!!!
