Joe Badger Guitar Teacher

Ive had guitar lessons with Joe over the past 6 months; hes made them highly enjoyable with a range of types of tuition - theory as well as lots of technique instruction too. I highly recommend him as a teacher - hes enthusiastic, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Hes adapted our classes to specific things Ive wanted to know more about, and tailored his teaching to the areas where Ive needed particular support. Thank-you so much Joe!

I picked up electric guitar late in life, at the beginning of lockdown and whilst I had a bit of previous experience with an acoustic guitar, I soon realised I needed some professional help. In looking for a tutor, I specifically wanted someone who is a working musician with all the right musical qualifications. Joe was perfect as he is part of a functions band and is local to me. Because of his experience and playing on stage, he has been a tremendous help correcting many bad habits and teaching me new techniques which have all helped me to play better. His teaching style is very relaxed and is very much in tune with my tastes in music, as a result I get to practise the types of music I like. I said I'd started later in life, well, at my age it takes longer to take everything on board, so the fact that he has the patience of a saint whilst I fumble and mess up on timings or rythms is a definite bonus. He totally gets it and finds other ways of delivering his lesson plan. 6 months in now and my confidence has grown substantially to the point where I am feeling much more comfortable when practising at rehearsal studios with my friends with the ultimate aim of performing on stage in the near future. Excellent teacher, takes into account your own music tastes and caters for every genre. Easy to learn with him and very personable. Highly recommended

Joe is a patient and highly talented guitar teacher. He has been teaching my son for over a year and the progress we have seen has been incredible. Not only is he sincerely a very talented educator he brings out the best in our timid son and engages him throughout the lesson. Cant recommend enough.

I started learning guitar as an adult and its challenging .I got to a stumbling block where I seem to be playing the same chords and not really getting anywhere Due to relocation I have now found Joe and have been having lessons for a few months now .I love his approach to teaching .Its fun ,engaging and relevant to my ability .I am playing better than ever and ready to take on any song .I would thoroughly recommend Joe as a great guitar teacher
