Another Ofsted 'Outstanding' school that does nothing to support students and their fragile wellbeing while they navigate adolescence and the many stresses of school life. Bullying is brushed under the carpet, ignored and the victim blamed, invalidated and doubted until inevitably they snap back, then they are the ones that are only ever punished - not the bullies. Mental health was never talked about. Students who struggled were shoved into the SEND department and left to fend for themselves, hiding from bullies at lunch in the toilets and being hunted down by every teacher and staff member, dragged back to class and punished for being fearful of their peers. I left this school after 5 years of continuous bullying, from older students, physical and verbal, that the school did nothing about. Their only one solution was to move me up an entire year so I struggled to keep up and was expected to do GCSES a year early with less experience than everyone else. That was their idea of fixing how badly I was getting bullied. I left in year 10 and completed my GCSES elsewhere, at a school that wasn't 'Outstanding' nor catholic but was a kinder, supportive and more inclusive environment than SJB ever was.
