Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights while visiting family in Hampshire. All communal areas are lovely and clean but our room 211 in the modern building was run down and dirty. Extractor fan had about 6 inches of dust and the bathroom was disgusting- needs refurbishing as the tiles and black all over the bath are awful. Stains up the wall in the bedroom too. Breakfast was fantastic although on the Monday we left, they ran out of hot breakfast items. We were about to do a 3.5 hour journey with two children so it was a bit disappointing to say the least. Staff all really helpful and pleasant and cant do enough for you. The mansion rooms look to be in good order- I believe it is just the more modern building that is run down. Stay away from room 211!

Can I just sat a massive thank you to the 2 lovely ladies that came to our room that had been upgraded for us with gin and tonics and chocolates ,the room is amazing and the whole hotel is just a perfect place with everything that you would ever need to make your stay awesome, this is our 5th time here as we are local and it's just nice to get away so again cheers
