Poor. A lot of very average and tat. Some nice things spoilt by bucket loads of coloured wax and stain. Very grumpy do not touch etc signs. Waste of a drive. don't bother:.. and so to add.. tried it again as wondered if I had been too hasty. Nope. Owner rude, stock dull and poorly touched up and over priced. A mess and a waste of time.nice cup of tea down the road though.

Always a delight to visit this place. Staff are polite and friendly. Their collection of glass is fantastic and the prices remarkably good value. They also have a wide range of furniture, expertly restored, and again the prices are way below what you might expect. We never come away empty handed.

Okay if you like big lumps of brown furniture and in essence, that what people probably go there for and, to be fair, they have some very nice pieces too. On the other hand, if you are after decorative antiques, quirky items and stuff you can buy, do up and make a turn on, this isn't the place for you as everything is pristine. Even the 'smalls' were quite kitsch with loads of crystal glass, reproduction signage, plates and old fashioned pictures. Anyway, that's my review, okay of you like that sort of thing but not for me..

The exterior looks daunting and the atmospheric staircase conjures up images from a Tarantino film. But the stock of antique furnitures is truly remarkable. All laid out in a tidy manner. There are several floors of them and the place is spotless, even the ground floor where you'd expect it to be damp, was clean and pleasant to walk about... Prices commensurate with the quality of the items sold there.
