HMS Surveys

Vlad recently undertook a full out-of-the-water survey on my narrowboat Hallmark. I was very impressed with the detailed and through way he went about the survey and how he explained things as he went along. Vlad is very knowledgable about narrowboats and highly professional in his approach. The survey report is very detailed but clear and his written explanations are very helpful. Vlad carefully briefed the Boatyard on the work that was needed following the survey and it was successfully done I will certainly recommend HMS Surveys to anyone looking for a narrowboat or wide-beam survey on my travels!

Vladimir carried out a pre-purchase hull survey for us on a narrowboat and was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He was super informative and made everything really easy to understand. He took the time to give us initial results in person as well as pointing out any areas on the boat which were an issue and recommending any actions that could or should be taken. His survey was very thorough and the written report excellent - it was clear, concise and easy to understand. I would not hesitate to use Vladimir again or recommend him.

Vladimir is a fantastic professional that I would recommend to everyone in a boating enviroment. I had very many concerns about a narrowboat I had bought. He relieved my anxieties and talked through the survey and also liased what needed to be done. I will use Vlad at next haul out in 2022. Thank you for a great job.

A recommendation to use HMS came from a very experienced and well-respected marine surveyor who was simply too busy to carry out a condition survey on a 30 foot river cruiser. I am very pleased I took his advice; meticulous and professional are the two words which sum up Vladimirs approach and he gave me excellent advice before, during and after the survey. At the end of the survey he walked me through his findings and gave me a really detailed verbal brief on the boat and its condition. What came out was his knowledge and experience along with the care and attention to detail in carrying out the survey, in particular in relation to the condition of the hull. The manager of the boat yard, who was around for the duration of the survey, commented that it was the most detailed survey he had seen undertaken in a very long time. The report threw up a couple of points with respect to the hull. Neither issue was a show stopper (earlier repairs which now required remedial work), but the fact that they were identified (the seller was unaware as they had not been picked up in his survey) has given me peace of mind. The report was received on time and in a follow up discussion I felt that Vladimir gave me balanced and sound advice which I very much appreciated. I would thoroughly recommend HMS and the yard have also added HMS to their list of surveyors for future customers. If Vladimir is willing to travel to your area then dont hesitate to use his services.

HMS ( Vladimir ) was pivotal in me buying my boat. He did a valuation survey as well as a purchase survey - both were accurate, thorough and easy to understand which in turn gave me the confidence to make the purchase. Vladimir always went the extra mile to help, assist and explain. A great job - I highly recommend HMS.
