Nice pub in the heart of the village, friendly hosts and nice interior, however, the outside leaves a lot to be desired. The garden is scruffy and a bit of a mess. Yes, they have a climbing apparatus for kids but it isn't that appealing with the uncut grass, weeds and paving slabs piled up in the area. The picnic benches are in dire need of a refurb. It appears that the only part of the garden that is nice is the area under the canopy, which incidentally is mostly used by smokers. Facing the Inn, the area to the right which I presume used to be for outside socialising is now full of old beer barrels and furniture and other rubbish, a bit of a dumping ground. Not a good look and all on view of passing traffic and pedestrian footfall. You are the only Inn in the village, you should be thinking about your regular and potential customers. Witchford is a lovely little village and has many cyclists riding through on days out, many of whom would welcome a break from the saddle for an hour with a cold drink or hot coffee, but to be honest, I don't think many would want to stop by and sample your fayre if the outside areas are in neglect. It is first impressions that count and I am sure many people wouldn't want to stop at an Inn that isn't welcoming. So please, accept my constructive criticism and comments and smarten up the place, make villagers and travellers want to come and visit you, it can only be good for business.

Lovely local pub. Quite warm and cosy on a cold evening. Very nice owner too. Definitely recommend paying a visit and grabbing a few drinks.

Staff very pleasant but was disappointed in the menu, was hoping for a sandwich but other than a full meal the only option was a packet of crisps or chips. Sat outside which was lovely.
