Ludovic Potts Furniture Restoration

I was very fortunate to find Ludovic. I live in Canada and have a Boulle table that was deteriorating due to climate conditions. It was a daunting task initially, but through phone calls and emails, Ludovic patiently guided me through the shipping and refurbishing process. The result was truly amazing. The table is sturdy again, the ormolu recast, the inlay is fixed. I am truly grateful that such artisans still exist to fix heritage pieces.

I am so pleased with the restoration that Ludovic has done on an antique writing desk which I inherited with much damage. Years of sun exposure and humidity had left the wood warped, the internal mechanisms didn't work and there was significant cosmetic damage to the finish. From start to finish, everything was explained in detail but without complicated jargon; and a full assessment of damage and the result that could reasonably be expected to be achieved was clearly laid out. The work was completed to the highest possible standard, but preserved the natural wear which gave the piece its appeal. Everything now works perfectly and I appreciated the additional time that he took in guiding me through how best to operate the mechanisms for the first few months when the desk was returned to me I would recommend Ludovic unreservedly, his knowledge of antiques is second to none and the results speak for themselves

We used Ludovic and his team to restore a family desk and were incredibly impressed with both the craftsmanship and the speed of service. I wanted the desk completed as a birthday present and Ludovic went out of his way to complete it in time. His attention to detail was brilliant and my husband was absolutely delighted with the result. We would highly recommend this company to others!
