Highly recommended! Joe has been great, taking us clearly through each step of our process. The daunting prospect of applying for planning permission was expertly handled for us, and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome.

Couldnt recommend GRT enough! We were in need of architects to design a detached garage and workshop, all in keeping with the green belt. GRT offered us four great designs and after selecting our design, they proceeded to battle our corner with the notoriously tricky Sheffield planning department Joe was relentless with staying on top of this, and fought his way through permitted development and finally, armed with their knowledge of the planning system, our project was approved! Fantastic!

Great experience working with Joe. An enjoyable process developing the brief and final designs. Very approachable and open to ideas. I was really happy with the finished design and looking forward to seeing it built. My builder is also very impressed with the quality of the drawings. Highly recommended.

GRT were excellent from start to finish of our project. Joe listened to what we wanted to achieve, came up with designs which fitted the brief, took the plans through the process (not easy as conservation area and World Heritage Site) and project managed the build for us. We are thrilled with the outcome and everyone remarks what a difference the extension has made to our home by opening it up to the views of woodland we have. It has also added a 21st century twist to an early 19th century building. I would highly recommend them.

Highly recommended. We recently bought a former vicarage, built in 1847. Various subsequent additions had resulted in a labyrinthine series of small rooms with narrow passages and steps, unsuitable for modern living. We selected GRT as a local architect on the basis of a) their experience of working with the grain of old buildings and adapting them for modern living; b) local knowledge with good planning and heritage contacts; c) good relationships with local builders used to working with Victorian buildings. In all of these, the choice of GRT proved to be most worthwhile: the building was designed to our requirements; the heritage process and planning process went smoothly no queries were raised at any stage of the planning process; and, the building was undertaken and completed within the required timescale, to a high standard, and exceeding our initial expectations. A clear feature of this design process was the iteration between ourselves, the architects and the builders, all responding and working together to get the best result in a dynamic building situation as new challenges emerged and unexpected opportunities arose.
