4 week course was enjoyable. Bren and Dion are friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend going as a complete beginner or expert.

I got 4 week course as a gift and I loved it. Brenda's pottery shed is in a very nice place and very well organised. You always feel relaxed and welcomed in there. Brenda always helps you with a smile and always listens to your ideas and gives you just the right advice how to use your ideas. And Dion is very kind and patient to help you with everything. Brenda and Dion make a great team. I wish the best to both of them. And I highly recommend their pottery shed to everyone from beginner to expert!

The grounds of the Winterbourne Medieval Barn, makes the perfect setting for a pottery studio. As a busy working Mum, my pottery morning is really important to me and is crucial to my wellbeing, not only is it a time I carve out for myself but the sensory experience of the clay, the satisfaction of creating something, and the fun and banter in the class, really recharges my batteries. Some people go to the gym, others a therapist, I go to The Pottery Shed. I've done pottery for many years at many different studios with different teachers. Brendas studio is by far the cleanest, most organised, and well equipped. Wheels for all that want them, every tool you could possibly think of, assigned pigeon holes so you dont have to carry tools etc back and forth, a vast choice of glazes, under glazes , and add ons such as oxides to really inspire and excite. There is also complementary teas, coffees, and biscuits from the always hot and ready to go Urn. Brenda is great and has been running classes for decades but never loses her enthusiasm for clay or teaching. Even total beginners create amazing hand-built sculptures on their first attempt under her guidance. I have no hesitation in giving The Pottery Shed 5 stars.

I was bought a 4 week pottery taster session as a birthday present but enjoyed it so much that I booked on a 12 week course straight after and just keep booking more and more, as the pottery shed is a wonderful creative space. The setting at the medieval barn is so conducive to being creative and Brenda and Deon are excellent hosts and teachers. They are knowledgeable, helpful, warm and friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. They make the whole experience fun and relaxing and the studio is excellently equipped and organised and the classes are great value. Brenda has such a lot of patience and she makes time to help and mentor every student, whether you are a novice or a more experienced potter. Going to the pottery shed is the highlight of my week and I would thoroughly recommend Brenda's classes to anyone!
