Steven Hewlett Master Thatcher

Steven has just finished thatching our roof and has done a first-class job. He kept us updated as the work progressed and kept the site very tidy in spite of the very windy conditions and cleared up immaculately. He kept to the price quoted and there were no hidden extras. The liaison with the scaffolders and leadwork contractor was also very smooth and there were no hold-ups along the way. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone looking to have thatching work undertaken.

I have just had Steven replace the thatch ridge on our house and found his service excellent from start to finish. He was highly recommended by a trusted friend who has used his services in the past. Steven turned up at the agreed time to inspect the roof and gave us his expert opinion of what work was necessary to maintain its integrity and prolong the life of our roof. He kept the repair work to a minimum and offered a quote at the time of inspection along with a date for competing the work. Scaffolding was required which he organised and liaised with us in advance to agree when it would be erected. Steven was a pleasure to have working on our property, turning up on time, being very polite and friendly, working unobtrusively and efficiently. He was happy to show us what he was doing and explain the thatching process which was fascinating as well as informative for our future thatching requirements. The work was completed to a high standard, promptly and without mess.
