Hunters Estate Agents

The worst experience Ive ever had !!!!! They kept us waiting almost three weeks before telling us the seller had gone with someone else. They refused to tell us about any other offers after disclosing our highest offer to everyone in an email under the guise of Final Offers and we still had to wait 6 days before they advised someone elses offer was accepted. Extremely unprofessional and devious behaviour from these estate agents. I was left feeling like they had come to an agreement with someone else and just enjoyed making us wait. Appalling behaviour. We were originally told there was one offer less than ours (not 8!!!) - we were again told that the amount of the offer could not be disclosed before hunters sent everyone the amount of our offer in an email!!! Unbelievable the level of dishonesty we have experienced by this company. Clearly playing people against each other is what you think your job is. I have to wonder if the fact that we are two men didnt influence your lack of honesty.

My partner and I viewed a property at Hunters and the professionalism from the start was second to none, we then used Hunters to sell our home. Caitlin from the start has been absolutely amazing in everyway and would highly recommend her to anyone.

All good, Alan Bell rang me every week to up-date with planned viewings and when the offer was accepted and how the sale was going, very professional and a pleasure to deal with. if you are thinking of selling please use Hunters Estate Agents, but don't use Hunters solicitor for your sale, terrible service, we had to deal directly with the buyer to sort out some minor issues that were sorted in a day, after the solicitors had dragged their feet for weeks. remember you still have rates and utilities on a empty property.

We have been using Hunters (and Cumberland before) for a few years now. I work for a landlord down in Manchester where we are based, but have a couple of properties up in the Workington and Cockermouth areas. As we are so far away, we need a reliable local agent to look out for our interests and find us the best tenants and the staff at Hunters do just that. All the team are friendly, approachable and easy to deal with so I would be more than happy to recommend them.
