Cassie, an 8 year old Staffie cross rescue, has an occasional intermittent front leg limp which came back earlier this year. In addition, she started showing some general discomfort by finding hard surfaces to vigorously roll on and also hanging back on walks. Cassie already takes a dog joint supplement to which I added Turmeric Golden Paste which kept the limp under control through the first lockdown. However, it wasnt getting better and a course of anti-inflammatories didnt help. Diagnostic x-rays showed mild arthritis but no spinal or other problems. After four months, Cassie was starting to act like a dog several years older than she is. After a battle with the Vet and a referral to a different Vet, I got a consent form completed to allow Jackie at PawsOn to see if she could help Cassie with Canine Massage Therapy. I am a fan of such therapies having had a long bout of Sciatica cured with a few sessions of non-canine manipulation and Jackie came highly recommended! Cassie has enjoyed four sessions with Jackie over a couple of months. Each session has produced a distinct improvement in Cassies limp and general discomfort. The last session was three weeks ago and Cassie is bounding around, bothering squirrels and bunnies, just like she was a year ago. The limp has gone and her general demeanour is hugely improved. Jackie is very professional, taking the time to answer any queries in detail and she is also great with Cassie who is a little nervous of new experiences. I am delighted with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend PawsOn therapy is tried for dogs with similar ailments. Cassie is looking forward to the next TreatoTherapy session. :-)

Jackie not only treats Roxy perfectly - I'm not sure I've ever seen her as blissful as when she gets massaged! - but also gave us the tips and advice we needed to keep her comfortable and happy at home between sessions. Roxy is an elderly dog, who is just starting to get joint and muscle issues, and it's great to know that we're able to support her. Jackie really knows her stuff, gives amazing advice and service, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone! If you want someone who really understands dogs, and is able to read your dog's body language properly during a session, she's absolutely the best person to go to.
