As you approach the church, you pass through an impressive Lych Gate, the pathway made from what appears to be large mill stones. This Anglo-Saxon Church is imposing & straight away you notice the carved masonry & unusual ties high up. It's full of wonders, the monuments to the Dormer family especially exquisite . So much,I can only recommend a visit,if not check out online. Sadly the Crypt was locked the day I visited but this goes back to the earliest origins of the church. The churchyard, particularly pretty in the late winter sunshine with an abundance of snowdrops. Also present are some Commonwealth war graves. Parking could be limited as the entrance is in a residential street, but I'm sure you can find parking around with only a short walk.
