The wall got partially demolished along with the integral lamposts and their earlier twisted flame shades some years ago but most of the charm remains.
Not sure if the Hawker Hurricane monument should be there even if the designer was a local. I like aircraft but this one is a flying weapon. Just as well a local didn't design a machine gun otherwise the council would have put that on a pedestal I guess.
