Rooms: Not the best Walkability: Close to Windsor Castle

We really enjoyed staying at Goswell House. The room and amenities were excellent. We were a bit concerned about previous reviews saying there was lots of outside noise but we didn't hear anything. Our room faced Peascod Street and did have new double glazing to shut out noise. The room was extremely clean. Serve yourself continental breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. The male housekeeper was great and gave us good instructions when we arrived and looked after our luggage on the last day after check out when we went to the castle. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the castle entrance, 1 minute walk to the High Street, 10 minutes walk to Eton and in the centre of numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. We can highly recommend Goswell House and will definitely stay there again if we find ourselves ever in Windsor again.

Absolutely perfect boutique property - exactly what one wants when staying in such an historic town. Location was amazing. Close to Castle, but also in the center of the best shopping and dining. Hotel itself is lovely - easy check in (no annoying engagement with reception/bellmen) that lets the guest feel like they're staying at their own little oasis. Shockingly luxe room for the price; my husband and I were staying for a quick turnaround. We weren't looking for anything fancy. We got a huge room, with a delightful street view and on top of that - living area and spacious bathroom. Bed was roomy and SO comfortable. Climate control in room was great. This is a gem - truly. And the staff, though not on top of us - was quick to attend to our needs. And by the way, anyone who complains about the fact it's not on a Main Street clearly doesn't understand Windsor. Taxi will drop you off 30 feet from the adorable cobblestone alley on which the entrance is situated. LOVE this place and would 100 percent stay here again.
