Walking into the Castle Hotel was memorising for us all. The lay out as you walk in was superb. My little girl loved it. With anticipation we made our way to our room and eagerly awaited what was inside. The doors opened and as you can imagine my daughter loved it. It's a lovely little room, plenty of colour and vibrancy going on with various Lego characters across the walls. On the coffee table we noticed a little game where you have to find the numbers from the clue to open a safe. Once we completed this we went to the safe to find it was already open with nothing inside, we had a disappointed little girl. I went to reception and unfortunately they didn't have any there so had to go to the other hotel. We were quite disappointed as this should be something that is checked by the cleaning room staff. There were additional little issues that can easily be resolved. There was a fridge in the room but with no water, usually this comes as standard in most hotels. The PS charging wire was broken, plus the controllers weren't charged so my daughter couldn't play the PS straight away. There is no phone in the room to speak to reception etc so you had to go to the desk The bath had a big chip in it which is something minor you think but for the price on the room, these little touches could have made a 4 star into a 5. A great hotel for little ones but add those little touches and it could be even more special.

Dear Legoland, I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent experience at your theme park and hotel. I had high hopes for a fun and enjoyable trip with my family, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations. First and foremost, I was extremely unhappy with the process of booking the park. We were unable to book for the morning and were forced to stay overnight and purchase a second ticket just to enjoy a full day. This felt like a clear attempt to extract more money from us, and left a bad taste in my mouth from the very start of our trip. The hotel experience itself was equally disappointing. The beds were uncomfortable, the room had no phone, and we had to book breakfast in advance (included in the fare) . On top of that, the restaurant service was atrocious. We experienced spilled wine, consistently late food, and a 40-minute wait for a bad pizza and terrible vegan nuggets. The prices were also exorbitant given the poor quality of the accommodations and service. To add insult to injury, we left a Kindle behind in our room (619, check out April 4), and despite multiple attempts to retrieve it, we were never able to get it back. This is unacceptable and left a sour taste in my mouth about the trustworthiness of your staff and the quality of your lost and found process. Furthermore, the park itself was in poor condition, with many attractions closed and others looking rusty and outdated. Overall, our experience at Legoland was nothing short of terrible. The food was terrible and overpriced, the hotel room was uncomfortable, and the park was run down and unenjoyable. Given the high cost of our trip (just the room, more than 550 for one night), I would have expected much better from a licensed theme park. I strongly recommend that you improve your facilities and service quality. I am writing a review about the park as I think this experience needs to be a cautionary tale for other potential customers. The question remains, WHERE IS MY KINDLE?
