Nice, clean hotel and rooms and fantastic location with friendly staff. Had a great time. Negatives. Room was at the top of the hotel, really unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues, we're fit but it was still an effort. Room was also uncomfortably warm and air con did not work, would be awful in summer. Breakfast was nice but limited for vegetarians, alt non-meat sausages would have been good! Bar had an appalling selection of beers unless you like cheap lagers! No parking. If they're out of spaces, be prepared to pay for another night's stay in terms of cost of parking locally.

This was a gift for our wedding, a one night stay at Sir Christopher Wren. The location is right in the middle of Windsor town where you want to be to explore, just a 10 minute walk to the Windsor Castle entrance and 3 minutes into Windsor Town. I pre-booked the valet on site parking as I have a blue badge which was great as we parked on site in the car park at the rear. The gentleman who booked us in (I think his name was Caitran) was very helpful and kind. All staff were very polite and helpful in fact. Our room (323) was a Grand Room. Nicely decorated, with lovely furnishings and a beautiful bathroom. The robes and slippers were a nice touch too. The room was a little smaller than I was expecting for a grand room but none the less a nice room. There was some noise from the street outside until the early hours but this is more due to its central location rather than anything else. If you like to watch planes like us, Windsor is in the flight path for Heathrow and we had a great view of planes from the window that we enjoyed in the evening and early morning. The Brasserie at Sir Christopher Wren is visually really appealing. Nice and airy and lots of natural light and the staff are attentive. We each had the Coconut Prawns to start, decent portion, hot and tasty served with a Sweet Chilli Sauce. For my main I had the 8oz Sirloin and my Wife had the Croque Monsieur. Sadly my steak was chewy and over cooked and the Croque Monsieur was not cooked enough in the middle so on the food front Id only say 6/10 Im afraid. The complimentary drink voucher for booking direct is a nice touch and there doesnt seem to be restrictions on what you could order so we each enjoyed a glass of wine. Breakfast which is also complimentary and comes as part of your booked was lovely. Good selection of hot buffet and continental options. Overall a beautiful place with character, lovely staff and nice facilities in the heart of Windsor. We would stay again. Nearby activities: Right in the heart of Windsor
