Chaffin Fencing

Took them 3 days to return my call, then we booked an appointment for costing the fencing and 30min before our appointment they called to cancel!!! Messed my morning up as I had arranged my diary around them. Definitely not going to use them.

We have used Chaffins twice now and have already asked them to do more work, and they only finished the beautiful decking and ramp for my wheelchair yesterday! They are all very courteous and not one word of bad language is ever heard. They work hard and the workmanship is excellent and thorough. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Having given a very competative quotation, Chaffin fenced a garden extension. This involved removing some old fencing, but mainly clearing the boundry and erecting new fences with a matching 6' gate. They turned up when they said they would and worked hard to meet a tight deadline, enabling other contractors to get on site as planned. The work was done to a high standard using good quality materials. I would use them again without hesatation.

On the recommendation of a friend we asked Chaffin's to give a quote for a new boundary fence. The surveyor called and went through all the options that were available for the site and suggested the most suitable, shortly after his visit we received the quote which seemed very fair and reasonable and a provisional date was put forward. Later a date for the work to begin was confirmed. On the day arranged the two fitters arrived and very soon got to work removing the old fencing which proved to be more difficult than bargained for due to large concrete foundations, however by the middle of the second day the new fencing was going up and by early afternoon of the third day the whole job was finished, after which all the old fencing and rubble was removed and the garden left clean and tidy. The new fence looks absolutely brilliant and ready for the winter gales. I cannot fault the workmanship and was also impressed by the attitude of the people involved in the whole job, very professional and friendly. A good experience from first talking to the office staff to completion of the job. I have no hesitation in recommending Chaffin's for any sort of fencing work that may be required.

I have used Chaffin tree surgeons for the tree and hedge work around my house for several years now, and always been very pleased with the quality of their work and their competitive charges. When I found that they also have a fencing division, I decided to give them a try, based on my previous experience with the company. I am pleased to report that although the re-fencing job I presented them with was by no means easy, due to the position of a large tree which had grown considerably in girth over the years since the original fence had been erected, they soon overcame the problem that the tree presented. The workmen were very polite and erected the new fence to my complete satisfaction, and even fitted in a couple of small extra fence maintenance jobs for me which had not been planned for. They removed the old fence and left everything in a clean and tidy state. I would have no hesitation in recommending Chaffin for any fencing or tree work you may be considering.
