My parents visited recently 24/4and were very disappointed with the whole experience. They went early evening time and it wasnt busy at all, the service was very slow, waitress was friendly, poor waiter tipped over the silly champagne glass with the starter in which took a while to get cleared up only then was another brought out. Mushroom wellington was Ok not great, fish and chips was greasy but OK. Decided no to desserts. Mum went to the loo and came back to tell a stare member of a broken toilet seat which had fallen off. Emailed to explain and no reply received. They wont be going back, very disappointed.

The front of house staff seemed massively stretched and couldnt cope. Wed booked for an early lunch and struggled to receive any attention to either be shown to our table or served at multiple points through the meal. 25 mins for drinks to arrive and then waitress raced off before offering to take a food order. 5 mins later we requested a food order to be taken which seemed to come as a mild surprise. Smaller tables that came in after us were being served before us. It took a further 25 mins for the food to turn up. I had heard good things about the Half Moon but unfortunately our experience was a little lacklustre.
