We moved our son to Woodcote at the beginning of the first COVID lockdown. My only regret is that we didnt move him earlier. Collectively, the boys are happy, chatty and polite and all the staff are approachable, helpful and proactive. Woodcotes relatively small nature means teachers are able to support boys on an individual level as and when they need it whether that be academically or pastorally. But equally, they arent mollycoddled and dont take everything too seriously: trying new things and taking responsibility is encouraged (but not dwelt on if it doesnt quite work out), resulting in resilient boys that strive to succeed, but with good grace and a sense of fair play. Academically, it thrives too. Teachers are top of their game when it comes to their subjects, and their enthusiasm is contagious. Above all, my son is really, really happy. He bounces in and bounces out, with tales that inspire confidence and make me hoot with laughter, in equal measure. Woodcote is a wonderful school: his next one has a tough act to follow.

Woodcote House School is a truly amazing place. A wonderfully traditional prep school managing to foster both a modern and time proven approach providing above all an extremely happy and safe environment in which the boys thrive. From our initial enquiry and to placing our son in the school the communication and support has been incredible. Having relocated from overseas and joining mid year the Staff went the extra mile to ensure that he settled very quickly with his peers, school routine and adhoc boarding. The beautiful grounds offer a perfect sanctuary for the children to enjoy, explore and play a variety of sports. The range of after school activities on offer is more than impressive. The result is one extremely confident, happy and content young man that cant wait to get to school, meet his friends, join in the fun whilst making excellent progress in the classroom.

Our son has been attending the school since year 3 and we have found the school absolutely fantastic. The teachers are very approachable and the school is run with open frequent communication between the parents and teachers. The staff make a real effort to get to know every child and their families and there is a great familial feeling at the school with a real sense of caring and support for each of the children. Our son began boarding for 2 nights aged 9 following "taster" nights and he loved it and now has a sleep over with his friends and a cooked breakfast twice a week which we can't compete with at home! There is a variety of extra curricular activities available from archery, golf, tennis to name but a few. Academically our son is being challenged to reach his full potential and extend himself which is great to see. Our son loves being at school, with his friends and we see him developing into a well rounded happy individual, what more can you ask for.
