Beautiful place to go for a walk or have a picnic. Dogs are allowed, which is evident by the occasional pile of dog waste that inconsiderate dog owners have left behind. But still a beautiful place. There is a viewing area for disabled people before you get to the actual normal car park, if you're so disabled that you can't go for a walk just park at the top for free and take in the view.

Lovely spot, for families and low level walks, a place of scientific significance, for the study of leeches and newts, well worth a visit, in the heart of the lake district, not too far from Coniston, plenty of parking, however, in good weather be sure to get there early, as it will soon fill up, enjoy.
