Scam company. Over-charge 4x what other companies do, and won't use meter.

Booked a taxi short notice, collected slightly early, no issues, very efficient booking, driver was friendly enough, fixed price was a pleasant surprise

Ordered a taxi in advance via the app. The company phoned 10 minutes after our taxi was supposed to arrive to say they havent got a car for 2 hours. Couldnt find another local taxi with such short notice and we subsequently missed our trains. Very poor customer service.

This was my first time using Windermere/Lakeland private hire and my last. I booked a taxi for 10.45 from Windermere to Oxenholme. I had a train to catch at 11.28 to get me to London on my way to Heathrow to catch a flight. At 10.45, I had a missed voicemail telling me they were running 15 mins late. I missed the call as I was waiting on the road for the taxi. I called to find out where the taxi was and was told the taxi wouldnt be with me till 11. I had no choice but to wait as it was far too short notice to get another company. The taxi turned up at 11.03. The fare was 10 more than I have paid with other taxi companys. The driver did his best to get me there on time. Fortunately, the train was a minute late and I was able to catch it. Had I missed the train, it would not only have cost me a new train fare but I would have missed the flight, had to buy a new plane ticket and would have had to get re-tested for covid and stay another 3 days. Do not use this company if you need to be somewhere on time.
