The Smith, Cosy Pub, Pizzeria, Coffee House & Wine Bar

What makes this bar is Rob, it is by far the best bar in Windermere, and whilst it is just off the beaten track, the journey is worth it for this gem of a place. Without Rob, Katie and Enzo, this place is merely a hollow shell. Great music by Rob, love Enzo's pizza and Katie's fun banter. We do miss the maths magician, (and Geoff and Vicky!), but this place is the bar to go to for any occasion. Absolutely lovely pizza, the only issue was trying to leave! Not just because of how good this place is, but because some silly man had parked a land rover too close to the door! We will return soon, can't wait to come back to the bar where everyone knows your name.

Food was great when mine arrived. But i did eat almost 30 mins after the rest of the table. The chef did come out and apoligise. Still i would probably give them another chance next time.

I leave a 1 star review because this place is very much over rated. Me and my partner came here for our last night in Windermere with high hopes for a 4.7 rated restaurant with some starters and a desserts. There were NO choices for starters or desserts even when advertised on the wall inside the restaurant. Does not look like some of the pictures, this place is not what it use to be. When we provided constructive criticism, it was not received well. The owner didn't seem motivated to make any changes. I quote, this is a "simple pizza bar" so if you fancy a pizza and a drink then it's fine, but nothing more. We appreciate the discount on bill but I needed to put my opinion here for people to see.

The most vegetarian pizza place I've ever seen. 2 cm squares of ham on the ham pizza and the chicken had the equivalent of a sparrow breast on it. Good service though

It was a much needed stop after a hectic day in Windermere. Limited selection of pizza to choose from but don't let that put you off. Pizzas are cooked really well. Nice selection of drinks too. Hope to call again when next in the area
