Kotel Windermere

Whilst on the face of it the rooms appear to be well kitted out, the hotel gets the basics wrong. There was no hot water, only 4 coat hangers on a hook and no wardrobe. The blackout curtains looked good but were on poles not tracks and therefore the light seepage was huge. Our bathroom didn't have a window and the extraction was poor. There was masking tape around the towel hooks. The double bed was two beds pushed together without a bed bridge and the quilt was a winter together which meant we were too hot with the cover on but too cold without it. The hotel also allows animals and you can spell them straight away. On the plus side, it's in a quiet location and the parking was fine.

Rooms: Clean, high tech, quality. Kitchen facilities. Amazing rooms Nearby activities: Shops, Bars , restaurants and Lake Windermere Walkability: 10 minutes walk in to Bowness, with lots of bars and restaurants.

The first time we stayed here, i am always wary booking the likes of a b&b & thinking pictures could not be as rooms are when you get there. But the pictures on the website exactly as rooms are everything in the room you need even bed so comfortable & our room over looked some beautiful gardens, and we would definitely recommend this place & we will defintly be staying again....

We have just had the best weekend stay at Kotel in Windermere. The hotel was clean comfortable with lovely views onto the garden. We had such a peaceful stay. The hotel is central to lots places to eat and drink and all dog friendly. Can't wait to go back again. Food & drinks: Plenty of places to eat and drink. All within walking distance. We went both nights to Brookside pub across the road where we ate and drank . Cosy pub.
