Had a nice weekend at the Cranleigh Boutique at Bowness Windermere. The rooms are amazing especially the bathroom with the massive jacuzzi double bath and the huge TV at the end of the bath. The area of Bowness s beautiful. We had breakfast at the Fizzy Tart which was amazing its a sister site to the hotel so you get 10% off. The only negative was some areas of cleanliness which could be sorted easily, the wardrobe tracks were dirty, the mirrored wardrobe doors had a build up of grime at the bottom on the frame and there was a little mould on the ceiling above the radiator next to the window. Apart from that the room was spotless. As a guest of Cranleigh Boutique you have access to the Lakes Hotel Spa but be warned we enquired about getting massages a month before our trip and they said guests of Cranleigh Boutique can book on the actual day if there is availability which I found bizarre, turning down a paying customer so we were disappointed we didnt get massages like we planned. I highly recommend you if your going to the area to book the Cranleigh, if we ever go again we will defo book again.

Was a little disappointed with our stay here. Our room which was number 9 was as expected, very clean with some added luxuries. Great spa bath. However there was no bedside sockets which was annoying. I would say do not stay in this room in winter when rain is forecast! The skylights meant we could hear rain battering away all night long. Made for a terrible nights sleep. Breakfast wasnt a pleasant experience either. Theres a strange vibe in the room with everyone spread out and almost too many staff in and out constantly. The guy who served us wasnt very enthusiastic and made things awkward. There is no continental options laid out either and we had to specifically ask for these. Cooked breakfast was tasty though. Wouldnt say the stay was worth what we paid unfortunately.
