Lowera Cottage

My wife and I had a fantastic time. A wonderful cottage in a prime location just a short walk from both the lake and Windermere town. The cottage provided a cozy and homely base for our walks and adventures. We both love the lakes, as where else in England can you see such contrast of mountain and lake, or stone and grass. Would recommend to all looking to unwind or explore.

We had a fabulous stay at Lowera cottage at the weekend. Situated in a lovely position with views across Windermere and is in easy walking distance to the village, where there are many very good places to eat and drink. Our favourites being Crazy Baa & Homeground. The cottage is 5 star throughout, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, cozy sitting area and outdoor seating with table. Ideal for watching the sun set whilst enjoying a beer. Would recommend and return without question.

Lowera Cottage is the ideal base for exploring Windermere, Bowness & beyond. Inside has been finished to a high standard (with a modern kitchen, quality appliances & a wonderfully comfortable sofa), & the hosts provide plenty of thoughtful touches that made our stay that extra bit special. This included a complimentary bottle of fizz (much appreciated on a wet & windy Saturday evening celebrating a 30th birthday!), a book swap, locally sourced toiletries & plenty of blankets to wrap up in watch the weather roll across the lake (the view is breathtaking from the sitting area but wait until you walk to the end of the private jetty!). Would we stay here again? Absolutely!
