Fantastic house, stunning views from the en-suite rooms, even better view from the guest lounge at the top of the building Fantastic facilities, very thoughtful ideas throughout, such a games left out in guest lounge, umbrellas, extra towels in pool area, robes & slippers provided for pool, had complimentary locally sourced chocolates and gin in our room when we arrived. Facilities such as fridge / sink in your room, big baths more than comfortable for two, ice machine/glasses/bottle bucket in guest lounge with full kitchen. Fantastic pool, garden area with picnic bench, sun loungers and chairs. Phil and Joyce are fantastic, arranged a surprise via email for my wife, have been very helpful and polite. Highly recommended, an absolutely fantastic place to explore Windermere and surrounding areas from as a couple or a family.

Wow! What a place.we expected something amazingand it was..and more! Joyce greeted us on arrival, and gave us great recommendations for local restaurants which were a hit with us! Just checkout their welcome pack which is really useful. The breakfast is beautifully packed and delivered to your room in a sweet basket, and the contents are more than enough and lovely and fresh. Everything about this place is breathtaking from the funky decor inside to the pretty gardens outside. The pool is a must! Only small but enough to get those lengths in! The bath in the room was unreal! I spent a lot of time soaking in there. Cant speak any louder to how this house offered the best staycation experience we have ever had.. Extremely unwelcoming and rude. The bed sheets smelled like they needed washing. Dont expect anything that may be an inconvenience. Certainly not the high expectations that you would expect from somewhere this expensive. Whatever you do, dont arrive a bit early or late as you will be reprimanded for your huge inconvenience. NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR MONEY Try the Bridge at Grasmere its so much better and really welcoming.
