Amazing experience staying at Invergarry.. truly a thought through place where the owner has made the whole experience really personal ! The room was extremely clean and they also provided us with little snacks like squash, cake and cookies as a welcome pack. Not just that, the entire stay has amazing recommendations of the walks, climbs and cafes around. The only problem we had was with the heating because the radiators were not electric and thus, we needed extra layers even with maximum heat on. Highly recommend this place for a lovely stay!

Good location between Bowness and Windermere. Note that it is a "guest house" without host present or welcome. This being said, the check-in is easy and flexible which was great for a late evening arrival. Very small room (top floor), esp. if you happen to have 2 pieces of luggage. Curtains above the bed are of poor quality and a pain to open / close (essentially needs standing balanced on the bed), also let a lot of light through. Separate hot and cold water taps in the bathroom are a bit of an (English) joke. Bathroom has no mechanical ventilation. A few greenwashing posters and notes here & there across the room... but the staff opens windows after tidying up, and then the heaters kick in while you are away... And also the little energy-hungry fridge in the bedroom, in addition to the communal one downstairs. Their "green" claims should not be taken seriously. Fairly cheap, generally clean. 3 stars overall, though given the price, there is a case for 1 more star on a price-quality ratio basis. Update since owners' reply: They have not addressed most of the points above; please note that the radiators were not electric, so the open window while heating and lack of mechanical ventilation in the bathroom issues remain.
