Haisthorpe House Guest House

Absolutely fantastic guest house with perfect hosts. Tim and Cathy are really friendly and know so much about the local area, including places that are less well-known to tourists. Location is ideal, just a couple of minutes' walk from the centre of Windermere. There are three parking spaces at the back of the property, including an electric car charging point which is charged at cost, so it's just like being able to charge at home. The room was clean and beautifully decorated; the bed was so comfy. Breakfast was wonderful, a choice of cereals, toast, jams, marmalades, yoghurts and fruit. When I next come back to the Lakes, I'll definitely be staying here again.

A lovely place to stay in, we had a very warm welcome from Tim and Cathy. It was a very clean house and the room was lovely and comfortable with a lovely view. The breakfast was very nice and tasty, you preordered it the day before so it was hot when it arrived at the table which was nice. Tim and Cathy were lovely and friendly and helpful, they were very knowledgeable on the area and gave us some lovely places to visit. Would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Thanks Tim and Cathy.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Haisthorpe House! My husband, my parents and I all stayed at the guest house over a sunny long weekend for an overdue family get together with my sister and her fianc and Haisthorpe House made the visit even more perfect. The guest house is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean and has all the modern conveniences you could possibly want (including delicious teas, coffees and hot chocolates!) Our hosts were utterly delightful and couldnt have been more helpful. My husband needed to use an iron at the last minute before we went out one evening (we were running late after a day in Ambleside and had 15 minutes to change and dash out again) and within moments an iron and board was ready for him! I couldnt recommend Haisthorpe House enough - we will definitely be back as soon as possible!
