        Such an adorable shop with lots of wonderful homeward and little gifts. All their candles are so lovely we came back twice!!!! Super nice owner too! Would recommend!

        If I could give a 0 star I would. Bought a candle for 36 which I felt was extortionate when I realised the price outside the shop, my sister returned for a refund for me it, the retailer threw my sister out of the shop in an EXTREMELY aggressive manner. I returned to ask for a refund as I had the receipt, she still refused. We remained calm the whole time as my son who has aspergers was upset. In the end the police arrived, obviously they couldn't enforce a refund and they were very helpful, but the lady is an extremely poor ambassador for Ambleside and if that is how customers are treated generally (which we have been told this is not an isolated situation) no wonder English tourism is declining. Disgusting behaviour!!
