Rooms: Rooms looked presentable and clean. Very spacious and it is nice that there is a bath and shower so you can pick between the two. They have a 3-in-1 bottle of soap with a pump and it smells very nice. They have a coffee machine provided that does nice coffee and a kettle with tea bags, milk, white and brown sugar, sweetener and hot chocolate. They also have a built in wardrobe, hairdryer and towels provided. Flat screen TV has apps like YouTube and Netflix on plus you have TV channels to choose from. I think it's the best hotel room I've been in! Only downside is the beds are a little too firm but you can still get a decent sleep and it never really bothered me. Cleaners are lovely and kind and they clean very well. The room I stayed in does have patches of slightly different paint on the walls where repairs have been done but didn't bother me moch and it was very low down so you can barely notice it. Overall the room was up to my standards and very nice. Nearby activities: Hotel was just a few mins walk away to the town centre that has cafe's, restaurants, shops, ice cream and a pharmacy. Also a 40 min drive from the zoo and about 10 min drive from Bowness which has boat hires, cruise trips, shops, bars and restaurants, cinema and so much more. Loads of attractions nearby to see and do. Safety: You have your own personal key for your room so it is very safe. You can leave and then still come back after closing time but they don't seem to have any night time staff. They do provide you with phone numbers to ring in an emergency so overall it is very safe. You can also have your luggage locked away in the cellar while you enjoy the last day of your holiday if requested. Food & drinks: Food was thoroughly cooked and presented nicely. Juice tastes fresh and pure. They also have a bar which is perfect for sitting outside on a nice day and having a drink. Parking: Parking was very limited due to the place being a restaurant and hotel but we still managed to park the car everytime. Weekends seem to be busier than weekdays so it's best to start your holiday on a weekday. Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free options and are happy to take off/add on foods in your meal to meet your requirements. They also ask you how you would like your food cooked (example: eggs) and what type of bread you would like. They also have vegan and vegetarian options.
